Ir Michael WAYE, AECOM Asia Company Limited

 

Ir Waye is the Executive Director of AECOM Asia Company Limited. He graduated as Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering University of Hong Kong and gained a Master in Business Administration in the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is a Chartered Engineer in UK, a Professional Engineer in Toronto and a Professional Engineer in California / New York. After finishing his academic studies, he spent time with contractor firm, client office and most of his time in consultancy practice. When he is in Hong Kong, he covered engineering projects in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Philippines, Korea and China. He also worked in Toronto, Canada; and New York, United States for various engineering projects. Ir Waye was the recruitment director in WSP from 2010 to 2016 and the recruitment director in AECOM for 2018 to 2020. He planned various recruitment activities and have interviewed over 1,000 graduates in his career. As his engineering career covers many different roles in engineering industry and in different countries, he would like to share with our undergraduates the vision in the career and the search process.

TC Ying was the Sports Secretary of the Hornell Hall Students' Association in 1971/72 and also Ex-officio Member in 1972/73. Currently he is the President of the Hornell Hall Alumni Association. TC graduated from HKU with a BSc(Eng) degree in Civil Engineering and has been a Fellow Member of HKIE, ICE & IStructE for more than 40 years. He has 47 years of experience in the construction industry and is now Director of a renowned local Main Contractor.
